Penang - Pearl of the Orient

It’s a 3 hour flight from HK and all is pretty organised at the airport with a RM 75 ride to the hotel. Despite being on a deal we get an upgrade to the Rasa Wing - almost a suite ! Seems that between CNY and Easter is definitely the time to travel.

We had a certain amount of confusion about the exchange rate as Ringitt to HK Dollars to Pounds is a challenge but settled on RM 5 to the GBP 1 which still makes Malaysia good value compared with HK.
